Hey!
I'm Sam, here's a little bit about me.
I found yoga after a battle with my mental health over 10 years ago, leading to training to be a yoga teacher. The practice gave me a 'moment of calm', that my brain wasn't allowing me to have. I'm now a Senior Yoga Teacher and forever grateful for what yoga brought to my life. To this day I still fall in love with the practice every time I step on my mat as a teacher, or a student.
Yoga truly saved my life.

Whilst I was on holiday one year I decided to give paddle boarding a go. Wobbly start but there I was standing, staring at the view of the skyline beyond the white sandy beach. Noises from the shore disappeared and I was immersed in my thoughts. Before yoga, this would have scared me, being alone with only my thoughts for company, but instead, feeling nothing but a sense of peace. It was meditative.

Fast forward many years later, occasionally paddle boarding here and there, I brought my own board. Being on the water was calming and gave me a similar escape yoga had for many years. I would go out, lose myself for hours, catching sunsets, watching the seasons roll in and out (yes, paddling in winter is fun too!) and cracking out the odd yoga pose on the board.

Early 2022, I began looking for my next yoga course to enrol on for after I completed my Senior Yoga Teacher qualification.
A paddle board yoga course.

I found a course in Majorca, seemingly perfect. In true Sam fashion I hesitated for a few weeks, did endless amounts of research on flights and hotels, but finally ended up booking it. A week in the sun with like minded 'yoga mermaids' from various other countries was the best thing I've ever done. The week flew by and there I was teaching my final practicum under a tropical storm.

There's something quite special about doing yoga in nature, every class is different due to the surroundings and being at the mercy of the elements. Practicing on the water is completely different to anything I've ever experienced before and I couldn't wait to share it.

So that brings us to now, I've got my own dreamy floating studio and I'm eager to share the magic with you all!
I hope to see you on the board, or a mat very soon!

Sam x
