MY MOST ASKED QUESTIONS

FAQ's

SUP Yoga is quite unique, with that, over the last few years of sessions I've received a lot of questions! Below you'll find my most asked ones and what answers I have for them...

Q - What happens if i fall in?

A - You get wet! In all seriousness it is my most asked question and often the biggest fear from people.

Falling in can happen, but naturally our bodies will do everything it can to stop that if we are fearful. If you do fall, I always suggest falling water way rather than on the board, they may be inflatable but they are solid and could cause injury! Ill always be on hand to assist you if you fall.

Q - What if I am not a very good swimmer?

A- In order to join my sessions you need to be able to swim, even if that is a basic doggy paddle! If you are not a strong swimmer, I can provide you with a life jacket.

Q - Do I have to wear a wetsuit?

A - No, you don't have to! Its completely personal preference. They can restrict movement just for your reference when deciding to. (I don't provide them as part of equipment)

Q - What if I haven't done Yoga or Paddleboarding before?

A - Not a problem at all! I welcome all levels and my classes can be adapted to suit everyone! You can also take the poses to the stage you are comfortable at, don't worry about what others on boards might be doing!

Q - What if it rains?

A - SUP yoga sessions are at mercy to the elements, if it rains mid class then we will carry on! If the weather pre class is looking like heavy rain, winds or thunder and lightening I may decide to postpone, your deposit can then be used against a new date. Sadly I can't plan for sunshine every class (trust me, if I could, I would!)

Q - What shall I wear/bring?

A - Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. Lots of layers can restrict movement, but make sure if the temperature is lower you are warm! If it is sunny, please make sure you are wearing sun cream, and are well hydrated. Bring a spare pair of clothes and a towel. Any valuables are your responsibility if you choose to bring them.
